Leher- an ode to the colorful textile of Rajasthan

From swoon worthy lehengas to eye catching suit sets, our new collection leher is what dancing in a colorful wonderland looks like. A pendulum between vibrant hues and whimsical patterns which beautifully settles on to the canvas of lightweight fabrics.

Although monsoons are associated with gloomy days in most parts of the country, Rajasthan has quite a different take on welcoming the rains. Women of Rajasthan celebrate the monsoons by wearing clothes made from the famous leheriya textile. Attributing it’s inspiration from “leher” which is a Rajasthani word for “wave”, Leheriya is crafted using a traditional tie dye technique, making distinctive patterns on bright colored cloths. Lightweight fabrics such as cotton, doriya, chiffon are used for this practice, making it extremely easy to carry.

The “Leher” collection is our way to pay a homage to this exuberant print. The collection compromises of eight vibrant and festive leheriya outfits, adding just the right amount of Sunehri Kali’s touch in it’s minute detailings.
